Terms of Service
Last updated: October 2026
Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using our services. By booking a repair, dropping off equipment, or making a purchase through The Grass Mechanic, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. About Us
The Grass Mechanic
Norwich, UK
Email: TheGrassMechanic@gmail.com
Phone: [YOUR PHONE NUMBER]
2. Our Services
The Grass Mechanic provides repair, servicing, and maintenance for lawn equipment and small-engine machinery. Services are carried out at our workshop in Norwich. We reserve the right to decline any job we consider unsafe, unsuitable, or beyond the scope of our service offering.
3. Bookings & Estimates
All bookings are subject to availability. Estimates provided before work commences are indicative only. If additional faults are discovered during a repair, we will contact you before proceeding with any work that would increase the final cost. You have the right to decline additional work, in which case you will only be charged for any diagnostic work already completed.
4. Authorisation to Repair
By dropping off your equipment or confirming a booking, you authorise The Grass Mechanic to carry out the agreed work. Written or verbal confirmation of an estimate constitutes authorisation to proceed.
5. Payment
Payment is due upon collection of your equipment or upon completion of the service. We accept payment by card and online via our website. Work will not be released until payment has been received in full. For larger jobs, we may require a deposit prior to commencing work.
6. Liability
The Grass Mechanic takes reasonable care of all equipment left in our custody. However, we are not liable for pre-existing damage, wear, or faults unrelated to the work carried out. We are not liable for any loss of use or consequential losses arising from equipment being out of service during the repair period.
7. Uncollected Equipment
Equipment must be collected within 14 days of notification that the work is complete. Equipment left uncollected for more than 30 days may incur a storage charge. Equipment uncollected after 90 days may be disposed of or sold to recover outstanding costs, in accordance with applicable UK law.
8. Warranty
All repair work is covered by a 30-day workmanship guarantee. This applies to the specific fault repaired and does not cover pre-existing conditions, misuse, or unrelated faults that arise after collection. Parts supplied are subject to the manufacturer's warranty where applicable.
9. Cancellations
You may cancel a booked appointment with at least 48 hours' notice at no charge. Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice, or failure to attend without notice, may result in a cancellation fee or forfeiture of any deposit paid.
10. Consumer Rights
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, or any other applicable UK legislation.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
12. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. The current version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
